A New Unit in Saridar Lab
Immunohistochemical (IHC) Staining Unit
Saridar Lab has established a new unit for immunohistochemical (IHC) stains and so added an indispensable tool for pathological diagnosis.
The main targets of the new unit are accuracy, reliability and the highest level of quality.
Immunohistochemical stains can be processed in paraffin block, tissue section or in unstained fixed tissue slides.
Recommendations for fixation of pre-IHC stained tissues:
1- Tissues should be fixed in 10% neutral-PH phosphate-buffered formalin and for less than 48 hours.
2- No processes should raise the tissue temperature higher than 60° C, as this will cause severe loss of antigenicity that may not be recoverable.
3- Fixed tissue slides must be unstained to be used for IHC stains.
Now, in Saridar Lab, more than 100 IHC stains are done routinely.
