HCG (Pregynel) Test (Boys)

Purpose
To investigate interstitial (Leydig) cell function in boys.

Product
Chorionic gonadotropin EndoŽ, 1500 IU vials.

Dose
3 vials containing 1500 IU by IM injection.

Protocol
- Sample (dry or EDTA tube) at 9 a.m. on d0.
- IM injection of 1500 IU hCG at 9 a.m. on d0, d2 and d4.
- Sample (dry or EDTA tube) on d1 for the assay of estradiol.
- Sample (dry or EDTA tube) the day after the last injection (d5) for the assay of testosterone.
